What I Saw: Rock Island State Park

I added this picture for perspective. In the picture below that little white dot toward the lower middle is my almost 6 ft tall son on the rocks toward the base of the falls.

We're going on our annual Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge trip in a couple of weeks! Maybe Cades cove this time...

Fun times! I love Cades Cove. If you are an early bird and have no problem getting up you can see so many animals early in the mornings. I saw a herd of 36 deer one morning. Have a good time.

I want to go there next time I come to see you. You kept that pretty place to yourself! Shame on you You took me to your spot in Norris at the museum for the cloggers and singers. Where is that at anyway?

It is about 1 1/2 - 2 hours west toward Nashville. It is near Fall Creek Falls. The falls in the picture are actually much taller than they look. I have a pic of Tyler standing down there on the rocks and I am up where I took this pic from. Tyler looks tiny and he is close to 6ft now.
I'd love to take you if you are up here long enough.
