Letters From War

I am so grateful to our military men and women. We have several members of our extended family and some friends in service and some over in Iraq. For some reason these folks have been on my mind more than usual the past few days. My prayers go out for them. I remembered this touching video I saw several months back and decided to share it. Enjoy it and remember to say a prayer for our men and women in the armed services.

I'm stalkin' around your blog spot. Stalkin',stalkin',stalkin'.:)
So whatcha doin'? Me I'm bored. I gotta go to bed in a little bit so I can get up. I'm still waing on that time when they say that when you get older you don't need that much sleep. I can get by on 8 hours worth of sleep whereas I once upon a time needed 16. I guess that's a step. Oh well.

Ya know how the saying goes you never know what to expect from me.:)
What I meant to put the first time(BUT I had already taken my sleeping pill) was that Andrew knew this song by heart when his dad was in Iraq and one night when Matthew was online Andrew asked him if his boots were muddy and he was tired. Matthew immediately got up from his chair and got the picture that Andrew had drawn for him and he'd just gotten a few days before and waved it at the camera. He then told Andrew he'd gotten his letter from home.
So many people focus on the war and not on the soldiers who are just like everyone else. Matthew entered the guard when he was 18 to help pay for college and because his dad was full time guard. He could have opted out because he knew they were going to deploy but he resigned and was gone to Iraq the next year. He has since told me that when he went he had heard the stories about "over there" but the stories did not do justice to the reality. They are told to trust no one not even the police they are training. It's a sad situation that will only get worse. You can not bring democracy to those who do not wish it. It's that old "You can lead a horse to water but you can't make t drink."
And by the way I am your own personal stalker. :0) GOTCHA!

This isn't the country song you are talking about it is another song. I think this guy is a Christian artist.
